I work from my home studio & office busying myself between my own business + freelance work. I manage my own little art + illustration online ETSY shop called Messy Miss Kate where I primarily offer orginal art, illustrated prints, greeting cards, stationery & sometimes gift items printed with my artwork. I've also spent over 10 years part-time doing corporate logo & stationery graphics work for our local printing company.
On the home front, I'm mother to 5 creative & gorgeous little people & married to Jeff. I live in a cute white house in the middle of suburbia, minutes from both our beautiful little city of Adelaide [South Australia] & our lovely western beaches. Creativity is at the centre of our home & a way of life for us. Whenever I can grab some free time I love to travel, move furniture & re-organise my home, make books, dabble in photography & sew. Sometimes I even sell my original stitched cushions & wall art made with recycled fabrics, stitched illustrations & freestyle messy stitched lettering.
I look forward to having a chat to see how we might work together!
Thanks so much for visiting!

Prior to working creatively, I spent 15 years in corporate business from administration through to Human Resource Management & General Management. Although business wasn't my passion, I take away so many skills that enable me to manage my own business, communicate effectively with customers & fulfil clients needs.

I understand business! I have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills & I'm extremely organised.
About Me

Hello & welcome! I'm Kate Mason.
I’m a self taught artist & I've been creating pretty messes ever since I could hold a crayon. I'm versatile in many traditional mediums + digital media. I am proudly represented by Lilla Rogers Studio in the USA after winning the Global Talent Search in 2015. Clients include: Papyrus, Design House Greetings, Oopsy Daisy, Gas-IF, Taste of Home, MPix, Remarks & Hobby Lobby.
I am interested in working in a wide variety of commercial markets but think I am particularly suited to childrens apparel, bolt fabric, gift, scrapbooking, stationery & childrens books. I love variety so I'm definitely always up for a challenge! If you would like me to create something exciting for your brand, or would like to license any current artwork, please make contact. I would love to discuss potential illustration & surface pattern design opportunities with you.
